Weekly Photo Challenge: Textured

As a tribute to September Eleven attack 10th anniversary…

some friends of my photo pool created some textured versions
of my helicopter flight shot of the World Trade Center
BEFORE the attack …
1 – texture: crows by JO, Norwich, England
2 – texture: old paper by Olli Kekäläinen, Finland
3 – texture: raindrops by Olli Kekäläinen, Finland
4 – texture: vintage frame by Catherine, France

P.S.:
Nine Eleven changed:
politics and emotions,
magazine essays and small talks,
military budgets and death toll stats.
Changed the level of angst and aggression.
Result: less multiculturalism, more hate.

  15. oh wow…. this is an incredible tribute – very creative, but also very evocative. i remember visiting NYC a few years before 911, and as i look over my photos, the World Trade Center is prominent in many of the images, even where it was not at all the focus of the image….
i still remember hearing the news, and then watching it at work as many others around me were, all staring at a small screen. nobody said anything. we just watched in silence, disbelief, and sorrow….

it almost seems trite to say, thank you also for visiting my blog. but it is much appreciated.
