Cat Personalities

i will eat you, mouse

Cats have character, have a personality. They ain’t simple dogs. They are gurus. They have magic. They are yoga teachers. Do you need a good coach, because you want to practice effective meditation? Hire a sophisticated cat Sphinx! Everytime, when I need some hypnosis to feel better, I upload the portrait, large sized, of the black devil cat MAKI, who lives in the same house as my flickr friend Wolfgang Hermann, Graz, Austria. Every midnight, struck 0:00, following my good old BIG BEN surrogate counting to twelve I stare in the eyes of cat MAKI. Perfect, effective hypnosis! After a while my wife comes in, silently closing my laptop. I’m sleeping. No drugs needed. The companion of cat Prof. Dr. Sigmund Maki, my flickr friend Wolfgang told me, that the black portrait does not show how Maki actually is looking. Something has changed: 5 cats lived there in the house in Graz, Austria. But one morning a neighbour brought one of them, killed by a fast driving automobile, back home and gave the frozen body into the hands of Wolfgang. Cat Maki watched this – and all the hairs turned grey! Cats are fighters, gurus, heroes – but sometimes very sensible too!!!

I have a very sad story to tell Dietmar. My little cat — Kitty, got lost since last night. My fear is that this family in the building, not very nice people, who had a grudge against me because they dirtied the building and made a lot of noise, kidnapped her and went and either killed her or went and put her far away in some other part of the city. I feel so heart-broken. She loved to roam the garden but always came up every few hours. I have been looking all over, and I know she cannot fend for herself. She cannot hunt, and she was very sweet tempered. She never even hissed or spat. I fear for her, and I feel so helpless. Here she is: http://ritabanerjisblog.wordpress.com/2011/06/14/how-a-dog-family-got-a-cat/

    • even if she never comes back (because human beings are cruel / or because cats like to be free):
you’ve written a wonderful tribute essay for her! for example:
      +
She loves smoked cheese, pizza, chicken, ice-cream and scramble eggs. She has learned to eat vegetables (by force and negotiations). She hates the t.v. – rushes at it when it’s turned on and smacks the screen silly. But loves the air-conditioning, and prefers the room where we keep it on. She knows her food comes out from the fridge, so when she’s hungry she rubs herself affectionately against it.
      +
of course I am not surprised about the fragment:

in the villages in India people regularly kill their baby girls. They watch their own flesh and blood grow to full term in the womb, watch her take her first breath, suckle her, watch her smile, grow, reach out with her two hands, and then — feed her poison, strangle her, or drown her. I wonder what kind of psychological numbness that kind of task takes? I fear for the numbers of adults in India, in the thousands, that have killed their infant girls, and are walking around psychologically anesthetized. Are they normal people I wonder? Has this psychosomatic aberration become the normal state for us?

In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made just right content material as you did, the internet will be a lot more helpful than ever before.
