New York! Oh, if I could sing, I would sing about New York. A ballad about Dominique Strauss-Kahn? Tom Wolfe made it better in his novel “The Bonfire of the Vanities”. Though still one of my favorite points of view is the novel by John dos Passos: “Manhattan Transfer”. Best paintings? Maybe those by James Rizzi. Happy. Though 9/11 is not a story to make happy summaries. Although Osama bin Laden was killed now. But it’s not a Bonnie and Clyde story to sing ballads about. Also not nice: The death of my hero John Lennon. Some positive thoughts related to New York? Yes. Manhattan helped Piet Mondrian and Max Beckmann, Andre Kertesz and Andreas Feininger, Theodor W. I like all photo, video and writing, but I think that writing something is the most active means.It is emotional and creative but it’s not convenient.What a dilemma.

I like to use whatever fits the moment. Sometimes email is a better way of contacting a person than trying to Video Chat them. It just all depends on what the other person has for mode of contact.

We are social being, and think about all sort of things to communicate, in the most apropriate way, for the ocasion, who we are and what we feel, at the time of a comunication. But no matter what the new means, what missing is the shared space, in which people talk to each other, and the air they breath. So we need to undertand that, and live, and live and live and live again.
