You don’t have to be a neurosurgeon to dig Skype. Just use it, it’s pretty much self explanatory.

Hey frizz,
It is quite easy and they have a tutorial to help you understand it. I don’t use it often and don’t plan to use it for anything but business but its easy. š

I use skype a lot, too, for both work and personal calls. It is great for international conversations and video calls. You can’t beat free. Quality is hit and miss, but overall very good. Good luck using it!

Skype is definitely a cool way to communicate. My oldest son sometimes helps me out of computer jams and I love the fact my hands are left free to follow his instructions as he speaks through my headset. If Mr. Bell could see the world of communication now, he’d be amazed, I’m sure.

When you are traveling Skype is a godsend since even paying it is way less than anything a hotel would charge.
Even when I’m at home I use it for my out of the country calls. Most of the time it is really cheap and reliable.
Good-luck. Really liked the photo of the “telephone graveyard”! Even without skype the land phone is dying away.

I just bought Magic jack plus. I don’t know if you have that where you live, but it works great and you can use any phone.

I use Skype and it is easy, costs nothing, I did not have to set up an particular telephone number, I can even take small pictures with the web cam. Just kill all the ads that Skype sends you trying to sell you extra services. I do not keep it open all the time because I do not want to be bugged by people when I am not ready. If the video does not turn out well, I only use the audio and it is like a hands-off telephone. Try again, it works.

You can also use google to chat, call, or video chat. Their edge comes in with group video chatting, or “hangout” as they call it. With Skype you have to pay for group chats after a while. I prefer google’s products to skype, personally.
