It was boring, to view each day the same framed painting on the wall in my favorite hometown restaurant. So one day I asked many of my flickr-photo-pool friends, if they would give permission, to feature their artworks in a virtual, only digitally produced slide show titled “Restaurant Gallery”! It was funny, to collect some of the sent photos. It became a window to the world for me and my friends, a chance to leave virtually our cultural boxes at least for a short time of reflecting each others social conditions. One of the creative projects of Internet communities, I hope!

enjoy the slide show, featuring the RESTAURANT GALLERY on my flickr photo-stream or visit the RESTAURANT GALLERY SET for single photos!

What a fantastic idea…I like the idea of having still shots yet movement. There is something very relaxing about stills…even if it is the same old boring painting or photograph. The idea to have a series of stills on a giant screen in a public place is great. I wish more people thought like you.
