I like to write comments in the online forum of the German weekly news magazine DER SPIEGEL. The screen-shot below features my post to the topic:
“Expensive war in Libya. Only an advertising show by the producers of Tomahawk cruise missiles and Rafale warplanes? Why all the money for the hobby of jet-pilots but not a single cent for free journalists doing risky trips in Libya (like the German book author Todenhöfer)?”

Eine wahrhaft teure Werbung für Rafale und Tomahawk. Das gleiche Geld für diplomatische Reisen, Verhandlungsversuche, Finanzierung freier Bericht-Erstattung aus Benghazi etc. wäre der Entwicklung dienlicher gewesen. Traurig, dass die Rüstungs-Industrie sich immer das dickste Stück aus dem Kuchen schneidet, nicht aber die freie Presse oder die Internet-User, die eigentlichen Triebkräfte für politische und kulturelle Weiterentwicklungen. Ein Todenhöfer riskiert für fast Null-Tarif sein Leben, die Jungs hinter den Steuer-Knüppeln ihrer High-Tech-Jets werden hofiert wie Kaiser. Wann werden die Piloten endlich mal zu nackten Kaisern?
