Knitted Graffiti – Yarn Bombs

More and more we can find in our urban jungles a female movement called “yarn bombing” — a graffiti version that uses yarn / wool: standing sculptures and moving cars, standing lamps and moving bicycles now have a new outfit: dressing objects with a glimpse of warm, female humor some women are acting vs. a cold world. I had seen a couple of the photos before and am fascinated by the whole thing…thank you for sharing your photos…Just love them. Hope you find more and can add to the photos…can’t tell you how mind boggling the idea of all that work is to me…Thank you.

dear Wolfgang, “never seen before”: my wife Barbara constructed a new table with spring colors: bought some wood and colors, worked a week – and today we had our first breakfast there – related to knitting and graffiti: design is more than a sign, it changes the lifestyle, the feelings, the daily mood …
Lovely table setting your wife created. She did a wonderful job of creating a warm environment for breakfast.
Fun yarn graffitti … I hope they use the yarn for good things, too. I’m sure there are some elderly who could use a nice lap blanket or a baby in cold weather who could use a cozy sweater. BUT … they are colorful and bright.

love the last one, too funny! Hey we do that here too, at Christmas, an old lady has done about 40 of them, and they cover the trees along the streets in downtown Seattle!!! SOOO cute!
