Mississippi Delta Frizz
by frizztext
slide show with seven portraits shot by my wife:
I like to play finger style acoustic guitar inspired by the old blues masters of the Mississippi Delta 1920-1940. Listen to some of my audio tracks at or watch some videos uploaded to flickr.com at

P.S.:
compare four other guitars I liked to play on:
Biography
Born 1945, I was interested to discover what happened BEFORE I could join the party. I fell in love with the old guitarists listening to records from 1920-1940.

I enjoyed listening to you play. Thanks–perfect way to start my day.
Excellent, enjoyed them all – makes my efforts sound very amateur
Oh, I really like the Mississippi Delta Frizz!!!!
because you are a musician too, Marina:
if you use soundcloud, than it’s easy
to make a “supportingnewmusic”-website for you like

I’ve integrated a slideshow with seven portraits there …

Your website looks [and sounds!!!] great!
Excellent work my dear Frizz!!
[not on soundcloud yet...]
Listening your guitar playing is always a wonderful treat. Great way to start my day, too. Thank you so much, Frizz!!
Happy Friday!
Love the guitar work.
Bravo !!!!!!!!!
I am a supporter, you know!
What a beautiful post, dear Frizz, I sat and listened to them… reminded my son’s guitar days… He is a guitarist too. But he can’t play now because of his job, he is busy so busy… I missed to hear guitar sound in my day, especially when he was at home… Thank you, and these photographs are so beautiful too. Is there any other video that I can listen to your music, ?
Have a nice weekend, love, nia
hi Nia,
I’ve deleted my thousand tracks on youtube,
but there are still some videos on flickr
http://www.flickr.com/photos/frizztext/sets/72157632490396721/
I hope there are no technical problems to watch them?
Oh dear, they are so nice, I have just listened and watch first two, I loved so much. I will go on to listen to all of them. Thank you so much, by the way, your wife should be so artistic and smart too, I loved your winter kitchen, colours and yes, cat pillow too… Thank you again, Blessing and Happiness to you all, love, nia
Fun to listen/view your music–just kept clicking. I love Blues–indeed I do. Blues Jam coming to my neck o’ the woods soon–Yay. I wrote lyrics for a tiny, simple blues piece–find it on my Writing Life tab–”Still Morning Blues.”
hi Alice –

I listened to your blues lyrics at

great sounding music too!
our internet has been very slow, and the music won’t load – boo! boo! BOO! most likely it will work tonight!
i grew up in the MS Delta, so yet, you hit the bull’s eye with this post!

The photos show the harmony between you and your instruments!
Everything has it place, and it all fit today. Great post.
Great photos and kicking accompaniment! Your little clips are so soothing… could listen to them all day!
I listened on soundcloud, but still can’t figure out how to comment there. I like the minor key stuff the best. How you play in E flat I don’t know, but it all sounds very nice, Mississippi Frizz.
so kind, Bumba / Steve, it sounds like Brownie McGhee or Leadbelly himself is talking to me!
You are the master my friend
Und mein großes vorbild
some minor key stuff (as Bumba, above, says):

I really do like listening to you play. Why was it that you erased all those video clips on youtube? Unfortunately, I didn’t know about them in time…
too much copyright restrictions on youtube – even when I played Silent Night or Amacing Grace! They are killing the enthusiasm, joy, optimism, communication of musicians!
Great portrait. Tremendous contrast.
I enjoyed these very much, Frizz! I especially liked the lunch music for horses…it makes you want to get up and dance!
thank you!
and I’m glad that a company in UK made a website for me – for free:
