Because I’m trying to combine the wordpress and the flickr activities: Let me introduce the latest flickr idea: http://www.flickr.com/groups/yourbestshot2012/ – do you know your own “best shot” of 2012? For sure difficult to decide! I’ll begin with my bicycle photo – though I know, there are soooo much better shots in the web – for example compare my article http://flickrcomments.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/bicycles-around-the-world/ !

Love the fixi! Finding the best shot is never easy….
but the one below, free horses – who can top this?

That is gorgeous – looks like they are debating what to do about the photographer…
Really love this shot.
but look at the one below: isn’t it very creative?

Love the symmetry , contrast , angles and circles, reflection and lighting! Yes this is a great shot!
but explore the one below:

I went trough some of my pictures the other day and in each one I could see why it was not the perfect shot
but maybe the one below is a perfect shot:

So etwas habe ich noch nie gesehen. Deine Frage ist nicht leicht zu beantworten, muss ich erst einmal drüber nachdenken.
Einen schönen 1. Advent wünsche ich.
you can’t make a photo like the one below in Germany:

What a superb set of contrasts in this shot!
dear Patti,

we did not have the chance, to take a shot like the one below, just sent to my group BLOG IT:

Wow!! These are high standards, hard to match… What a cool theme, Frizz. Thank you!
for example I was very amused by the shot below:

I can’t say I’m very impressed with my photos this year but one of my best would have to be http://lucidgypsy.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/img_5146.jpg
I really love your bicycle shot!

the ceiling of the Pantheon in Rome:

I like your peaceful boat photo!

Quite a capture, and interesting background story as well.
it’s great how the cormorants are fishing for their human partners, isn’t it?
The info with the photo said there is a rope tied around the cormorant’s neck to keep it from swallowing the fish. I suppose the fisherman is holding the other end of the rope to keep the cormorant from flying away? I do hope the cormorant gets a ‘reward’ now and then.
yes, the “the cormorant gets a ‘reward’ now and then” –
I once watched an interesting document movie about this partnership …
Right in the exact moment a photo may be the best perfect shot – not over time – the time change – but it doesn’t make previously perfect shot worse – moment has just moved – it corresponds to discuss if Eiffel Tower or a thunderclap is highest…
still very high: the Golden Gate Bridge (what’s about your new bridge in Denmark?):

Bicycles make great subjects! You have given me an idea!
hi Barbara,

but sometimes jets seem much more interesting:

Brilliant
and rainbows…..
I liked the bicycle, then the zebras, the horses, the hot air balloons, the ceiling of the Pantheon.
and I’m waiting for the postman to bring your book – I like to write book reviews – and to listen to your blues CD!
Should be there soon! Mailed it a week ago.
last month I’ve sent a book via amazon.de to Chicago – it took 14 days …
I’m interested, how you manage to combine in your novel your story-telling and your music…

I love taking photos of bicycles (as you may have noticed!) and I am quite jealous of this one with the tiles.
my favorite bicycle shot was made by a Dutch photographer
