Story Challenge: Letter “O”

Hi Bloggers! Do you have to share a story or a short reflection tagged with the letter “O”? For example I’ve written about the “OCCUPY WALL STREET” movement or OVID, the Olympic Games and optimism, owls and oranges, observation and orthodoxy, ovens and oceans, Obama and Osaka, Oldsmobile and Olivetti, Ohio and Oslo, Opel and Oia, Oprah Winfrey and Oliver Twist, about two otters and about one ox etc. – I’m sure you’ll find an own story or a short reflection tagged with “O”! Feel free to add in the comments the link to your personal interpretation of the letter “O”!!!

OCCUPY WALL STREET

title: FREEDOM OF SPEECH – photo by Patti / Patricia Fogarty
I like the photo documents of Patti / Patricia Fogarty shot in New York. She caught wonderful smiling faces in Manhattan: “ONE DAY IN A CITY” – but also riot police: arresting photographers who tried to make some pictures featuring the Occupy Wall Street movement. Every week the police gangs produce a new package of arrested photographers and confiscate their cameras. And every next week there are brand new iPhones again and even old cameras fit for the work as a “under-cover-agent” …
P.S.: I just read in the “Devil’s Dictionary” (Ambrose Bierce):
“WALL STREET = A symbol of sin for every devil to rebuke. That Wall Street is a den of thieves is a belief that serves every unsuccessful thief in place of a hope in Heaven…”

    • hi Allan, once I bought a book about the Blue Angels with some awful photographies – but, indeed, it must be better, to see them fly originally (and HEAR them fly with those powerful engines!)

    • thank you Fergie Moto,
for your OKAYAMA fairytale – something is similar to MOSES of the Christian bible who was found on the river Nil in Egypt and was adopted by the king’s daughter. I was adopted too, but not found in a nut-shell in the Wupper river 🙂

thank you for: “…First they learn to crawl; then they learn to swim! They will travel vast distances for a dozen or more years, then magically respond to the mating call and return to their beach of origin….”
      P.S.:
always when I read “Brunetti” I’m amused, because a famous police inspector in a German Venice TV series is called commissario “Brunetti”; the novels are written by Donna Leon…
