STAND BY ME – tribute to a message
by frizztext
Stand by me: “When the night has come, and the land is dark, and the moon is the only light we’ll see…” – I’m trying to create a tribute to the famous message of Ben E. King, illustrated with a minimalistic black & white self portrait of Nikkidelmont

One of my all time favourites and I love your version.
By tonight I will be home again and able to enjoy the music! Thanks for a great song to roll though my head when I’m later riding one of those Cumbia/Ranchero-music buses home! Z
I hope your Cumbia/Ranchero-music buses are as colorful as your wonderful paintings!
whew. enduring that nonstop way–too-loud music often pushes my tolerance buttons! i emerge from the bus like a shell-shocked zombie! it feels good to be home on the river! z
Sweet!
love that song!
Love that song too:-)
Very nice sound.
Thanks for the perfect rendition of an old favourite!
ahhhhhhhhhh ever so lovely. all i have ever been able to do on my guitar is strumming chords. i am in true admiration of finger picking and notes…..
hi Kate,
I started 55 years ago with chord diagramms too, then notes, then tabulatur, then only listening to the radio or CD, then playing together with friends in jam sessions – now, my life goes to an end (I’m aged 67), I’m trying to save some songs on my soundcloud, mostly in the night, when I can’t sleep …
Wonderful playing and fabulous tribute!
In the dark of night, this post helps me relax into myself, “just as I am.”
