I like to play guitar

Marc-Frizz-Klaas-resisting
photo by Marc Lamote featuring me (left) and my friend Klaas (right) discussing a guitar composition. We always have many fun playing together. Klaas sings and plays rhythm guitar, I try to create some melody improvisations. It’s our tribute to the sixties when we were young. Now we are old and looking back emotionally. Marc Lamote caught the moment of dialogue very well, I think. Sometimes, when I am a listener I try for myself, to make portraits of musicians, see the 6 photos below. like your fast painting with water colors creating melody lines is a kind of enjoying velocity – and being lucky in an un-planned future = searching for the surprise … – street photography sometimes is led by the same “open horizon” …

I am SO with you guys in spirit replaying the music of the 60s on your guitars. Those days are still floating around in the upper atmosphere, you know!

ONE OF YOUR BEST SETS, Frizz. You have an artistic mind, artistic eye and an artistic heart. Triple Threat!

I’m glad you do. I’ve had a guitar for many years. I performed once on stage as a teenager, after several months of lessons, but did not keep it up after that.

  12. I’d sure like to be able to play guitar as well!
    Wonderful, Frizz! :)

Those were the days my friend
    We thought they’d never end
We’d sing and dance forever and a day
    ……….
late 60′s if I remembered correctly

What a great series of photos! As much as we listen to music, we can also learn a lot by watching the expressions a musician makes when playing!

  15. Hermionejh says:

This is so cool! As a faltering beginner on guitar (and can’t afford lessons), it’s nice that I can sit and try to play along without feeling self-conscious next to someone well practiced! Cheers! Jerri

I loved “Ain’t She Sweet”. Your guitar playing has really progressed well. Wish I could play with my fingers like that.

you’re so kind, George. I’m not a professional musician, I only like to play on my guitar as a form of meditation, like adoring the fenomenon of concentration – actually on my goal list for open tuning guitar: bona nox by mozart and the lion sleeps tonight (belafonte etc.)
