African Wisdom
by frizztext

I prefer the laconic truth of Africa – the Asian wisdom attitude was always a little “too much” for me: “Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle: When the sun comes up, you’d better be running.” [Anon]

listen to me and my daughter, singing THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT:

I’m glad you liked it as much as I did… It’s a great quote; like something my grandmother would say back home.
Too true! Only the fittest survive, and so on …
Wonderful combination!
LOL! So glad I am not a gazelle or Lion..hehehe
Great photo and post Frizz.
*hugs*
What a way to look at life? LOL. And here, I always thought it was the early bird that got the worm…evidently, I was wrong, it’s the fastest runner that gets to live. I know there is a lesson in there somewhere.
Yes such is life. Survival of the fittest
I’ve always wanted to get a good shot of a lion…
I’d be thrilled with a result half this nice, F.T.!
Survival wisdom was my first thought when reading the quote. It is a good quote. I really like the photo also.
Very valuable life lessons for us human here. Thanks for the great lion photogrpah, Frizz!
